When I was growing up in Carlisle I knew Keith Jefferson, who came in second place in the Natural Moustache Category at the 2009 World Beard and Mustache Championships.
He also ran Pink Panther Record Store in Carlisle and was friends with the Black Sabbath members back when they were still called Mythology.
The first guy’s beard doubles as a Halloween costume - it makes him look like a decapitated head on a plate of frisee.
