I always feel a little sad when I see mention of Joybubbles. A kid who received horrible abuse, who escaped into the phone network even if he couldn’t actually leave his house.

He is an inspiration. I haven’t watched Sneakers in a while, so I couldn’t say who else he might’ve been inspired by.
