I’m not sure I would have done one or two of them. I wonder what makes the difference? Time?
At least one of these is almost certainly actually a hoax rather than a ‘real thing’.

A friend who lives near Loch Ness knew a guy who went fishing (illegally) one evening. A fuzzy photo of him ended up a couple of days later in the local papers, suggesting that this was a sighting of Nessie. Of course, he wasn’t going to own up to the actual explanation…
