I’m sure She nixed that idea because the specific epithet is not supposed to be capitalized.
I did read an interesting theory that the Surgeon’s photo is actually of an elephant swimming, and holding it’s trunk above the surface. There was a circus with two elephants by the Loch at the same time the photo was taken.
I’m not sure how true that is, but I can’t see that photo without think of it as a trunk now.
Is there any non-made-up phenomenon in which the number of photographs documenting its existence is inversely related to the number and quality of cameras available?
(Besides Bigfoot I mean. Obviously that one is legit.)
