Home-hacking review: Charlie's Laundry Soap

Well there’s your problem: it’s the dihydrogen monoxide that’s the real danger.

If you’re trying to reduce your exposure to chemicals, especially for household use, you should look at steam mops for cleaning floors. I’ve been using one for a few years now, and it’s managed to clean up some stains which were stubborn.

Pros: they disinfect quickly, you (usually) don’t need to use soap/detergent/chemicals, the floor dries very quickly;
Cons: you need to use distilled water (otherwise you’ll destroy the mop’s steam tank in a few months).

we’ve been using soap nuts for years now. 6 or 7 halves crammed in a little bag or knotted sock, and it lasts about 5 loads of wash. nothing added, just these little berry things…

The kind of monster that doesn’t own a duckwasher.
