One use of likes that I note as missing from the poll: graciously backing down from a fight. “You’re right, this was getting overly heated; my apologies. Let’s see what we can do to restructure the conversation more productively”. That’ll always get a like from me.

Basically, I use likes as “me too’s” and as a way of encouraging the sort of content and behaviour that I want to see here.

D’oh! And that was the one that I kept reminding myself to include, too. Let me see if I can fix this.

ETA: Sent message to Rob. Never done a poll before so if this change borks everything I’ll make sure to notify anyone and everyone via this thread.
