Loop station music seems like an exercise in limited means – which is generally a good thing for music. My favorite practitioner is Joris Vanvinkenroye of the band Aranis. As BASTA! he has done a couple of albums comprised entirely of loop station pieces for double bass and it’s beautiful stuff.

The chap with the guitar and large effect stack is kind of the granddaddy of all this. This ain’t pure Frippertronics, but it does give a hint of what he does in his solo work. (I just chose this clip because it’s pretty with the addition of Travis’ flutes.)
