No disrespect intended for this particular release, but this video and record is a perfect demonstration of what is wrong with a lot of music over the last few years. It’s all presentation, no substance. So many records have had breathtakingly stunning sleeves, labels, inserts, etc, and an at-best self-indulgent and at-worst unlistenable piece of wax inside.
Again, no disrespect intended for this particular record, I haven’t heard it, and the craftsmanship looks unrivaled. Just grumpy and musing.
