It’s a shame, because no matter what the facts of the case the city of Baltimore behaved badly. And also, it seems likely that a no-show would affect the court’s willingness to grant petition hearings of the same sort in the future.

Given the way this court has been behaving, maybe it’s better they don’t find him, and don’t hear the case, or any other cases.
