They are, in fact, monkeys. Mandrills are baboons, of course, but apes like gibbons (and us) are all Simiforms: which is to say, monkeys. In fact, the chart there blurs the distinction that apes I am pretty sure are more closely related to some Old World Monkeys than others, rather than descending from a common ancestor with the base of all Old World Monkeys.
