Weird art reminds me . . . I was listening to Gweek 109 yesterday. A question came up about the name of the CRAZY mascot. He was known as “The Nebbish,” and was eventually revealed to be Richard Nixon.
Go figure why I remembered that after nearly 40 years.
I’ll be very, very interested to see what some of the cartoonists are doing now. (Kaz won an Emmy? Whoa.) Although some of the cartoonists seemed to have pretty limited talents, others were largely unsung geniuses; tragically, Dori Seda was one of those. There’s also probably somewhat of an overlap between the Weirdo list and the artists that Dennis Eichhorn used for Real Stuff.
