Nah, most of them are evaporative coolers (swamp coolers). Pass warm dry air over a damp membrane and it comes out as less warm but humid air. However, if you have warm humid air, you end up passing warm humid air over a damp membrane and get warm humid air.

The one at the very end is an actual Air Conditioner in the traditional sense. So I guess that’s close enough.
