Gross as it may sound, pee tends to be sterile (unless the pee-er has an infection), so pee is pretty safe.

My problem with blaming the growing population for all the earth’s woes is that population growth worldwide has been slowing for decades while per-capita consumption of resources in the developed world has been skyrocketing. If current trends continue we could easily see peak population by the middle of this century. Peak consumption? Not so much.
When people in the West imply that “poor people are having too many kids” is the biggest problem facing our planet it feels like we’re just passing the buck instead of facing up to our own responsibilities.
