They accurately portrayed a lot of things that have come to pass, but the idea of breaking out of gender stereotypes was obviously completely unimaginable.

A couple of you have already pointed out the dearth of porn on these imagined home computers - but it’s also lacking the other great breakthrough of the digital age, arguing with and insulting strangers while you are sitting around in your underwear.

True for many people, but not true for all. For many people “free time” is pretty much synonymous with idleness/passive consumption of entertainment product.

So yea, I probably should have used the term idle. People who understand how to have meaningful leisure could have a meaningful life with very little work.

Happy to see everything looks exactly as predicted! Moms bathing suit, Boys wearing burqas. And that all in the first minute and a half!
