The complicating factor is that some of it actually was misogynistic. THAT’S the problem, that people refuse to see actual racism and misogyny where it exists. Again and again. They’d rather ignore it and streamline these issues, as it makes things easy to sound intelligent on. They can throw about simple solutions and smugly feel like they’ve fixed the problem while ignoring the people they impact.
But no one will believe me, unless I have the forms, in triplicate, signed by a dude… so. This is my life and will be until I die. I’m just angry that it’s my kid’s life too.
Despite days of relentless coverage by the media, I still don’t know what it is that Bernie said, and in the absence of that don’t know whether he was being sexist or whether he was just accusing a large chunk of the electorate of being sexist. The fact that Bernie seems sincere when he says he doesn’t remember it suggests the latter; the fact that it seems to have made an impression on Warren suggests the former. Anyone who believes Sanders is sexist would definitely be justified in factoring that into their decision on whom to vote for. Me, I just hope at least one of the two is still in the running by the time my state’s primary rolls around.
I know that part was cherry picked out but that whole NYT interview is a trash fire for Biden (go read the part where he doesn’t really talk back his comments about millennials)
I am assuming that he would sabotage a candidate in favour of his personal favourite if he were in their situation, based on the history of Republican projection.
