So Sanders has received more votes than anybody else in both of the first two contests

but will end up with fewer delegates than Buttigieg?

Which is one of the reasons I support national healthcare. Another is that there are a lot of people, including a lot of my friends and family, who can’t see a doctor when they need to. Another is that I’ve lived in a country with national healthcare for several years, and it is manifestly a better system than ours. In fact, I don’t know a single person who has lived both in a developed country with national healthcare and in the US who has not come to that conclusion.

My point was more that even folks with household income in the $100k-200k range, if they have kids, would mostly pay less for healthcare under the Sanders plan than they do now.

Sorry if it was unclear: I was amplifying your point, not disagreeing with it. Even folks in that higher income range on the graphic could both have good insurance and still lose their house due to medical debt.

Isn’t the main point of M4A that victim blaming won’t be a basic element of our health-care system?

“Oops you picked the wrong employer | insurer | plan” will no longer be an excuse for screwing people

It shouldn’t even matter how much it costs, people should be willing to pay more for something that is fundamentally fair and accountable than for a Monty Hall clown-car Russian roulette game

If it actually saves money that’s just a bonus

They’re scared of her. Sexism too, of course, but they’re scared that a real grownup might end the hijinks.

Ain’t that the truth?

Klobuchar might as well, she has a reputation of being a little nasty when pushed, and Trump will certainly push whoever runs against him in the general.

When Buttigieg insisted in the debate that prosecuting one’s predecessor was not something we do in America, I was just shaking my head. I’m from Illinois, going to prison is almost the presumptive next step for Illinois governors.

Even when Sanders wins, CNN finds a way of saying something other than "Sanders wins the New Hampshire Democratic primary."

The VoteVets Action Fund is a 501(c)(4), which means it can hide its donors. That sounds bad for Pete, but Sanders is also supported by a couple of 501(c)(4) groups, which is evidently what Warren was talking about last debate.

On Colbert, Meyers, Kimmel, etc., tonight:

“Deval Patrick has exited the Democratic race for 2020. In other news, Deval Patrick was in the Democratic race for 2020.”

This timeline is making joke writing for late night talk show hosts too easy. We need to go to a saner timeline to make them work for it more.

I’ve noticed a few times watching monologues on youtube that multiple hosts will make the exact same joke on the same night. I think how hard their writers must be working to try to put a novel spin on the obvious jokes.
