It’s a good thing Fox News drinks it’s own Kool-Aide
Apparently Trump Jr is taking Mayor Pete seriously.
An interesting chart showing campaign $$$ inside.
Inasmuch as people who are inherently an ugly joke can take anyone or anything seriously.
The worms controlling her brain stem have left their barstools.
I think she has a different interpretation of “follow the money.” When your media persona is to find populism dollars, and someone like Bernie smashes records for small donations…
I mean, five years ago, a serial adulterer paying hush money to his mistresses (let alone for their abortions) and bragging about sexual assault would have been unelectable.
Thread:
Isn’t this happening kind of with that Andrew Yang guy too? I honestly can’t tell if white nationalists are actually trying to get left wing politicians to speak to poor whites or if they’re trying to shoehorn their white nationalism in to socialism … oh yeah… probably that?
Some people are being silenced by shouts of “Bernie Bro”, when it should not apply.
I feel the same way, being a socialist trans woman. We do not deny the existence of brocialists and manarchists, they are probably more annoying for us than for liberals, we just don’t feel that centrist-liberal feminism, LGBT and anti-racism activism represents us or fights against our problems.
ETA: Means TV are the same people who made Nyan Cat.
Edit: forgot to mention anti-racism activism
Since when is the Yang Gang racist?
I’m sure most aren’t. I know a few people who were just really excited to see UBI discussed seriously, and I’m pretty damn sure they’re not alt-right. I guess I’m referencing this topic https://www.thedailybeast.com/yang-gang-season
Eh that article isn’t the one I was looking for though. There seems to be more to it than just “why not get money while the world burns” to me. I wonder if some contingent of the far right base realizes poverty is a big part of their problems and that the people claiming to do something that helps are mostly content to watch them die. At any rate I don’t think it’s due to anything actually racist about Yang.
Ah. I suspect it’s less Yang being racist and more that any other candidate who’d be open to it like Bernie or Warren is also pretty anti-fascist. (I don’t like to say alt right it just makes them sound more palatable)
Assorted factions of the alt-right have been promoting Yang since he first appeared. Whether they mean it or whether it’s just ironic shitstirring is somewhat ambiguous. And there are some sketchy bits in Yang’s policy positions that have raised eyebrows.
Here’s an interview with him, where he claims to not understand his popularity among the alt-right (could be the case, I don’t know). He also discusses the problem with the big tech giants not paying taxes (or very little) and proposes a VAT (???) to fix it …which sounds to me like us once again picking up the slack for corporations not paying their share…
