Let’s compare for a second. Biden goes out to visit a memorial with a mask on versus Trump who goes to visit WW2 vets without one on.
I smell a dream ticket in the making…
That’s pretty funny. It has to be said that she was pretty popular among her constituents until she decided to run for president. Also among Sanders supporters in 2016, for her principled stand against the miscreants running the DNC that year.
I don’t know if it actually has to be said.
As Gandalf put it, my heart tells me that she has some part to play yet, for good or ill, before the end.
The Atlantic makes the argument for Susan Rice as VP candidate:
Hmmm.
That black mask and glasses is quite a canvas!
“Unarmed person with a knife”.
This is the guy who talked about “heterosexuals marrying homosexuals” when same sex marriage became legal, so
The Right: Shoot them!
The Left: Don’t shoot us!
Democrats: Shoot them a little…
Just to throw in a medical viewpoint, femoral artery injuries bleed out in a remarkably short time. Like within seconds to minutes. “Shoot them in the leg” is still shoot to kill. This is how Sean Taylor died. Just shows ignorance on his part.
In the middle of an ongoing pandemic and protests nationwide, there are still primaries:
He says “an armed”, not “unarmed”.
Anyway, here in Finland, when the police have to shoot someone (which happens maybe a couple of times a year, in the whole country, and is always investigated), they do tend to aim for legs rather than center of mass. It’s definitely dangerous for the targeted person, but less so than being shot in the chest.
Either way, all I can say is “is he deliberately trying to lose the election?”
It doesn’t help when every time he missteps everyone who claims they want to see him beat Trump in November beats up on him, but then ignore anything good he says or does. That’s how you get another 4 years of Trump.
Biden has been showing some real signs of quality leadership this week, from his reaction to the George Floyd murder to his newly announced policies on disabilities to his outreach to leaders embattled by Trump. Where are the posts and threads about that, to counter the ones about his gaffes?
He wasn’t the first choice of many people here – I think he was around my 5th – but he’s the presumptive nominee. While he should be held accountable for his actions and for policies with which one disagrees, maybe we can try to stop being quite so helpful to the Trump election campaign by only discussing the bad and ignoring the good in the guy.
I would like to not see him alienate a lot of people who would vote for him, that he needs for a victory. Can he manage that?
