I wonder if Biden’s said more than a word or two about that? He should be condemning “Trump-inspired white supremacist terrorists” and words to that effect every day.
What are you suggesting? It sounds a tad accelerationist.
The same as I’ve been suggesting since 2016.
And when the Corporate Democrats chased the Republicans so far to the right that marginalized voters on the left said “Meh, I can’t be arsed to vote”, and Trump won, they said “You can’t count on the vote from the left, young, etc, so let’s go after those dependable Republican voters!”
Serious contenders for President* are legally required to have a transition team, ready to start picking up the threads of government if they win. Trump had one (required), but fired them right after winning the election.
They’re supposed to be provided with offices, briefings, FAQs and whatnot from the current administration. I doubt anyone in the Trump circus knows what’s going on or feels that they have to cooperate, so I bet that’s a real shitshow. (Hopefully someone saved all the stuff that the Obama administration created that Trump discarded.)
* I don’t think anyone insists that the Libertarian Party or Kanye West have a serious transition team.
He has. The last couple of weeks especially, he brings it up and says Trump is fanning the flames. For example, from his Aug. 27 speech:
But while I have condemned all forms of violence – police violence, lawless violence and violence perpetrated by extreme, right-wing militia groups – like the groups the 17-year-old just arrested in Illinois for murdering two people in Wisconsin is reputed to have been aligned with. Trump doesn’t speak out against these extreme right-wing groups. Instead – as he did about Charlottesville – he embraces them.
If you’re worried about the violence you’re witnessing, you better be worried about the armed militias – often aligned with white supremacists and white nationalists and Neo-Nazis and the KKK – who are often the source of the biggest trouble.
(That one made the right wing press apoplectic.)
We can’t possibly shut the revolving door between Wall Street and politics. That would be racist.
Ugh.
More Black faces in high places =/= justice.
Good. All to the good.
Anybody on that team of rivals any farther to the left than Biden, or are the centrists just arguing amongst themselves as usual?
Shocked!
Will they find new ways to keep the MSM jumping, too? I hope not…
Must be willing to forgo a mask and die of Covid-19.
Must be loud and obnoxious and cheer for racist statements.*
*anti-nausea medication will be for sale at the concession stand.
Narrator: they won’t.
Neither will social media platforms, despite other early warnings.
Might as well get this going. My prediction for the surprise hit of late October:
"This is where heroes and cowards part ways
Light the fire, feast
Chase the ghost, give in
Take the road less traveled by
Leave the city of fools
Turn every poet loose
Howl, seven days to the wolves
Where will we be when they come?
Seven days to the poison
And a place in heaven
Time drawing near as
They come to take us"
