The assorted cases of householders voluntarily opening their doors to shelter fleeing protesters (and then being besieged by cops) are being re-spun on rightwing social media as “looters invade suburban homes, cops come to the rescue”.

That’s one thing I was thinking of, when I read about the death of Dave Patrick Underwood. I think it is worth thinking about who would shoot a black cop from the back of a van, and why.
In the same vein, I also think it’s worth noting that the racist head of the Minneapolis police union, has been challenged in court by other cops before. Who is “us” and “them” in this is not necessarily set in stone.
Irony that he was literally at one time a pimp, and therefore committing the abuse against women that his character and show were openly trying to stop.
I know people are not always just one thing, and they can change.
But I would say if he thinks both sides the same bird, then I would argue hes making a false equivalency. Both sides are CLEARLY not the same.
