“Super Flower Blood Moon” sounds like one of those old-timey euphemisms for menstruation.
Drearily nonexistent!
In my day the moon was just the moon, and we liked it that way. We didn’t these fancy Triple-Wolf Dancing Candy Blood Moons like those darn Millennials. /s
Seriously, I do think all of these names for full moons are quite silly, but if it gets kids interested in space, astronomy, or science, I can live with it.
Good time to smoke up some ganja. That’s what I’m doing, anyways.
The moon will rise in eclipse on the U.S. west coast so part of the eclipse will also be visible here.

Totality (when the moon is entirely in the Earth’s shadow) is when the Moon looks dark red, and that starts near moonrise where I live in the Pacific Northwest. The umbral phase (when at least part of the Moon is obscured) will last up to a couple of hours after sunset.
So I get the super and the blood parts, but where does the flower bit come in?
I heard that in a in a couple of weeks there’s going to be a super blood harvest blue pickle moon.
“Supermoons” are basically bullshit. The difference isn’t enough to see by eye, and all the photographs people share of it are either fake or leveraging the atmospheric “moon illusion” effect that can happen any time.
Super Ganja Moon.
Light the way!
The full moon of each month gets a particular name with something to do with the season in the northern hemisphere.

Basically, Flower just means it’s May.
Follow the smoke…
The moon is gone now. There is no Moon.
I was up at 4:30 AM, but it was cloudy :[
