…
No chance to see it tonight in Joshua Tree, it’s raining cats and dogs.
But, we are holding to a strict 5 PM happy hour, and it is Taco Tuesday. Got lamb from last night and fresh cilantro from the herb garden, simmering some curried rice to boot.
Taco Tuesday , here we come.
It was awesome last night.
I want to be with the rabbit tonight.
And Passover meal delivery on its way…
Your wish, is my command.
Seeing moon capitalized is like nails-on-a-chalkboard for me.
It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s SuperMoon!!
May I suggest taco Tuesday and hanging with a rabbit?
From the NASA Style Guide: Capitalize the names of planets (e.g., “Earth,” “Mars,” “Jupiter”). Capitalize “Moon” when referring to Earth’s Moon; otherwise, lowercase “moon” (e.g., “The Moon orbits Earth,” “Jupiter’s moons”).
I know, I know! But it still just looks all kinds of wrong.
Here in CT last night there was an awesome ring around the moon, too.
That was aliens.
Obligatory
The Moon always looks larger when it is close to the horizon. This effect makes much more of a subjective difference than the shorter distance from the Earth to the Moon of a “supermoon” ever could. You would have to put a “supermoon” next to a regular moon to be able to see any difference at all.
Or ice crystals high in the atmosphere.
