Again with Ukranian cats “in the field”:

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he removed two top Ukrainian generals, calling them “antiheroes” in his nightly address posted to social media on Thursday night.
“Today another decision was made regarding antiheroes. Now I do not have time to deal with all the traitors. But gradually they will all be punished,” he said.
The generals — former chief of the Main Department of Internal Security of the Security Service of Ukraine, Naumov Andriy Olehovych, and the former head of the Office of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Kherson region, Kryvoruchko Serhiy Oleksandrovych — have been stripped of their rank.
“Those servicemen among senior officers who have not decided where their homeland is, who violate the military oath of allegiance to the Ukrainian people as regards (to) the protection of our state, its freedom and independence, will inevitably be deprived of senior military ranks. Random generals don’t belong here!” Zelensky said.
“I stabilize your hindquarters while you use boom stick.”
That was not a sentence I expected to read today.
Yeah it sounded like the sort of place the military depots would get supplied from. Two or three steps down the chain. And the trains. And just general fuel use in the region. Whatever the hell happened that’s a lot of disruption.
It’s really kind of sad, though, what with so many homes destroyed and few places for (domesticated) cats to keep warm in winter.
Putin did it for the insurance money.
Those would be internal enemies of the state, since he was always a secret police Chekist rather than an international master spy.
This aspect of Russia’s manipulation; lies, distortion of truth, distraction and division served via RT, Sputnik, Redfish, et. al. has long been overlooked. That RT is the 3rd most shared site on twitter for Spanish language info on the invasion of Ukraine is disturbing.
ETA:
We talked about this up thread, and I had my doubts. I talked to a guy I know who has encountered these mines, and has worked with Ukrainians. He says “almost certainly real.”
I have $5 on “someone ignored the no smoking signs and lit an unlucky fume.”
I mean there is video of helicopters flying low and launching rockets into the depot.
As for not being a valuable target, if it is 20km from the border, then for sure that is going to be used to get fuel to the Russian vehicles in the field. Disruption of the logistics of that fuel, and future fuel from going through the depot I think is certainly worth the risk of 2 helicopters and crew. And it appears they made it unscathed! (Knock on wood)
Bonus - hard to hide fuel depots on fire. The Russian people will have to see the war isn’t going as well as TV says.
