Ingenious but also obvious. Sleight of hand: Moskva air defenses busy watching a drone above while missiles approach at wave level. Also more evidence of Russian laziness (Moskva running predictable route) and Ukrainian cleverness.
The Russian thinker Ivan Ilyin, a Christian (Orthodox) fascist, advanced such a doctrine of national innocence. Ilyin’s view was that Christ’s teachings about truth and love were to be understood in a particular way, with respect to a particular nation. The world was broken, and could only be healed by Russians, and in particular by a fascist Russian leader. That was the truth that mattered. Only Russia had the chance to become a Christian nation, and that was by way of a totalitarianism that eliminated the differences between people and ruler. A restored Russia that could lead humanity would be without national minorities and without Ukraine, which Ilyin claimed did not exist. Christ commanded the love of God and the love of neighbor, but this meant for Ilyin the hatred of the Godless, which is to say those who did not understand Russia’s destiny.
Some people seem to think that the Russian use of tactical nuclear weapons against civilian objectives is a possibility and that it should not be seen as such a big deal.
Would the German traffic light coalition government finally stop buying Russian gas if the Russians use tactical nuclear weapons? Is the possibility of Ukraine retaliating with dirty bombs against targets in Russian territory a deterrent to a Russian nuclear attack?

We really should introduce Dmitry to Cindy Sheehan.
Fighter jets are buzzing overhead in NoVa. With all this Russian aggression going down it makes one go hmmmm.
Probably nothing.
Some easter parade getting a flyover? Nothing says “He is Risen” like a few F-22s screaming overhead
Generally I think that is a clear yes.
Also, it seems that the moment at which Russian gas imports will stop is not too far away right now. There are things happening behind the scene which are kept very tightly tied up. However, the weather is actually on the side of German politics here. Heating period is coming to an end, and private household heating is a major factor in the calculation.
As things go, we can be honestly and severely pissed, and must ask ourselves why lives aren’t more important than the public opinion and the economy, but from the perspective of a political analyst, the current course of the German government might actually work to the advantage of Ukraine in a medium term timeframe.
Mark my words: the damage done to the reputation of German politics is large, but tactically, the decision not to cut of the gas imports immediately could even be the better option. I have to wait for the winter and listen for the strategists and economists opinion then.
If Russia deployed tactical nukes, watch out for the German public going either morally bankrupt - or an immediate practical reaction not only including natural gas and oil without much fuss, and with a tight-lipped chancellor.
My bet is on the latter.

The United Nations refugee agency said 4,869,019 million Ukrainians had left the country since Russia invaded in February - up 32,574 from Saturday’s total , the AFP reported, citing United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees chief Filippo Grandi’s remarks on Sunday:
As Christians celebrate resurrection on this sombre Easter Sunday, we must stubbornly hope that in the days, months and years to come the methods and language of war will not prevail over those - more difficult, more complicated - that lead to peace.
In addition to the 4.9m Ukrainians who have fled, an additional 215,000 students and migrant workers (who are citizens of other nations) have also left Ukraine since the start of the war, the UN has said. Some additional statistics on the refugee crisis from the UN, via the AFP’s latest report:
- Nearly two-thirds of all Ukrainian children have been forced from their homes, including those who remain in Ukraine.
- Nearly six out of 10 Ukrainian refugees, or 2.76 million, have entered Poland.
- A total of 738,862 Ukrainians entered Romania, many of whom crossed over from Moldova.
- Another 484,725 refugees have ended up in Russia.
- A total of 458,654 Ukrainians have entered Hungary.
- The UN’s international office for migration estimates that 7.1 million people have left their homes but remain in Ukraine.
