Two Russian generals killed near Kherson – Ukrainian ministry of defence
Two Russian generals have been killed near Kherson, the Ukrainian ministry of defence’s intelligence directorate has said. Another is in critical condition.
The Ukrainian military on Friday hit the command post of Russia’s 49th army near occupied regional capital Kherson, according to the statement.

The United Kingdom’s ministry of defense has released an intelligence update detailing accusations that Russia is planning to conscript Ukrainian civilians in the partly occupied southern regions of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia .
This would follow similar practices in the Russian-occupied Crimea and Donbas regions.
“Any enlistment of Ukrainian civilians into the Russian armed forces, even if presented by Russia as being voluntary or military service in accordance with Russian law, would constitute a violation of article 51 of the fourth Geneva Convention ,” the ministry of defense tweeted.

Seven missiles struck Odesa today in southern Ukraine , killing eight people - including a three-month-old baby – and injuring 18 more , president Volodymyr Zelenskiy said.
The attack, and the killing of the baby brought Zelenskiy to high emotion during today’s press conference: “They killed a three-month-old baby,” he said. “The war started when this baby was one month old. Can you even imagine what is happening? They are just bastards. Just bastards. I don’t have any other words to use in this context. They are just bastards.”
Putin doesn’t exactly look like the bare-chested equestrian strongman today. This is the face of a man who is mustering all of his energy not to hork all over the conference table.
Lenin looks better.
Hey Putin! That’s an awfully short table for you … ta have.
I have been that high, tbh. Holding on for dear life.
To me, it looks like pain. He’s hiding spasms of pain/nausea, I think.
I once started coming down with a stomach bug once in the middle of an evening seminar class I was taking and had to leave in break… it was about like that…
This would be kind of funny if not for the fact that the Russian government will have no problem keeping them in prison if they choose to.
Yeah looks like pain/nausea to me. Also I noticed the extreme white of his fingers. He’s pale to begin with but his hands look extra white here.
I’ve felt that sick before, like almost jumping out of my body while trying not to show it etc. Looks to me like he’s holding on to focus his body so he won’t contract inward. I notice the shaking/tapping foot too. If he weren’t such a fucking monster I’d feel bad for him.
Add in the (very) puffy face, and i could make some guesses. I won’t, but i could. None of them are particularly good, FWIW.
The way the color on his face abruptly stops near the hairline looks like he’s wearing heavy makeup too. At least he chose a marginally more lifelike shade than his toady wears.
first as tragedy, then as farce
His hair looks painted on, too-- but my guess is that the video camera, lighting and compression algorithms simply aren’t designed to produce a freeze frame that can stand up to this sort of intense scrutiny.
