The video (which Iâve watched a few minutes of) says that Lavrovâs goomah has a lot of political influence over him and several foreign ministry officials resigned because of disagreements with her.
ETA: Of course in public Lavrov stands for traditional Christian family values.

Smart and capable women who find themselves in that role can have enormous power, even especially when the men to whom theyâve hitched their wagons are sexist pigs. Iâm sure sheâs a nasty piece of work in her own right.
Lavrov is quickly shaping up to be one of the most repulsive of Putinâs toadies for me. I get a visceral reaction of disgust just seeing his photo.

Well, the Great War was simply a family squabble that got out of hand, so once they sorted that one out it was seen as best if those darker skinned chaps did the pranging amongst themselves, with a few helpful hints here and there from white officers, obviously, and that meant oneâs hands could stay clean and all one needed to do was send an envoy to bring the spoils home.

According to that video Lavrov has been in the pay of Oleg Deripaksa for many years. He exploits his official position to serve as Deripaskaâs international lobbyist and fixer. This is on top of the usual corrupt behaviour like taking his mistress and her family on official trips and giving her relatives jobs in the foreign ministry.
