More racism and transphobia is being revealed by these events, and not just of the aggressors.
I believe Ukrainians are checking passports before people leave, so any trans women who still have their AGAB marker on their passports are unable to leave Ukraine.

They do seem to be very strict when it comes to men of âfightingâ age â I know some personal stories from people who have known connected people with wherewithall to get them out, but never the men in that age range, no matter how influential the connection â but if theyâre checking people face-to-face you would think they could tell they were looking at a woman instead of a man. âI had to run immediately, so I couldnât grab my IDâ, that sort of thing.

Putin did give his foreign intelligence chief a humiliating public spanking right before the invasion. Picking at an autocratâs distrust of and contempt for his own inner circle is never a bad way to go.
