To be fair, itâs not clear that these realists care about right vs. wrong. They see amorality as a feature rather than a bug.
Theyâre all about âmightâ, though.
If there was, it would be the ability to throw around enough military or economic weight* to intimidate or (to one degree or another) colonise a higher-end pawn state.

Transnistria is landlocked, so transporting stocks from Kolbasnaya would require going through Moldova or Ukraine.

Yeah, the experts may note that Russia still has a lot of shells and bullets*, but getting them to the guns on the front line? That takes skill Russia has been slow to learn. It may be a part of why retreating Russian BTGâs have been abandoning still-functional howitzers, because the local commanders feel they are worthless since no more ammo is arriving.
*On paper, mind. Donât forget the Klept never let patriotism get in the way of earning a quick ruble.

Iâm a trifle puzzled by what point he is attempting to make. Itâs not false that a fair number of countries in Russiaâs vicinity could have remained Russian territories if history had worked out differently; but when the second half of that statement is âand if thereâs anything they can agree on itâs that they donât want the russians to happen to them againâ it seems like an unhelpful thing to mention.

Ukraine will summon the ambassador of Hungary to demand an apology after its prime minister, Viktor OrbĂĄn, appeared in public wearing a scarf depicting some Ukrainian territory as part of Hungary, the foreign ministry said.
OrbĂĄn was pictured attending a football match wearing a scarf which the newspaper, Ukrainska Pravda, said showed a map of âGreater Hungaryâ including territory that is now part of the neighbouring states of Austria, Slovakia, Romania, Croatia, Serbia and Ukraine.
In a statement on Facebook, ministry spokesperson Oleg Nikolenko said:
The promotion of revisionism ideas in Hungary does not contribute to the development of Ukrainian-Hungarian relations and does not comply with the principles of European policy.
He added that Ukraine wanted an apology and a rebuttal of any Hungarian claims on Ukrainian territory.
