Vietnam killed the idea of sending conscripts to foreign wars, Afghanistan and Iraq discredited the idea that a ground invasion could make things better for the invaded country. When most of the world talks about Afghanistan and Iraq, it’s all about “yes, that was bad”, but only Russia thinks “why don’t we get to do that?”

I think that Google has a policy of not showing war damage in Ukraine. You won’t see any ruins in Mariupol, for instance.

Ah, a good map. It says Sanborn Fire Insurance Map from Tuskegee, Macon County, Alabama.
Why Alabama? Why now? Is there an inside meaning to this map? It’s old, for sure, and bears the 8 point star of Sauron.
