You’d probably need to speak Russian to find the answer to that, but he has had political ambitions that might be too ambitious.

Prilepin planned to run for President of the Russian Federation in 2024. By August 2022, he had already opened several campaign headquarters in Russia as well as in the self-proclaimed LNR and Russian-occupied territories of Kherson and Kharkiv. I think the chances are high that they saw the launch of a Patriot, and that their missile was intercepted. Right now I suspect the Russians are more worried about their planes and ships staying the hell out of Ukraine itself, lest they get smacked.

Four large fires covering 7,200 hectares (17,800 acres) are currently burning near the city of Asbest, and residents there are without water or electricity following incidents at local water and electrical utilities.

According to Rospotrebnadzor, Russia’s federal human wellbeing monitor, the fires have caused air pollution in the region to soar past harmful levels. Many towns are shrouded in smoke. Doctors have advised residents to keep their windows shut and to go outside only with masks and respirators.
