The Azov Brigade were originally mostly neo-nationalists with some neo-nazis thrown in for good measure.
However, once they were incorporated into the National Guard, their leadership went off to form the Azov Civil Corps (as your wiki link states) and they were largely (though definitely not entirely) depoliticised.
Nowadays, they are just an average combat Brigade with members who run across political, racial, and religious lines. Yes, they are still nationalistic but no more so than you would find in any other military. Choosing to fight and die for one’s country rather self-selects, politically.
Meanwhile, the Wagner (named for obvious reasons) number two had matching SS tattoos on each side of his neck, and russia has been carrying out a campaign of ethnic cleansing (amongst its own population and in Ukraine) and racist/politicised genocide for over two years now.
But sure, let’s keep focusing on the fact that Azov used to be run by some football hooligan level skinheads, because that’s entirely comparable.
