A 46-year-old woman dies, 28 others become ill after eating at a Michelin star restaurant

there is nothing in this world or any other that is guaranteed safe, just sayin

When walking down the trail with newbie mushroomers, I always tell them to look for things that look like little black turds.

This sounds exactly like what hit me two weeks ago after dinner out with friends. We all shared our food except for my plate of broiled scallops, and I woke up at 2am with the worst gas pain I’ve ever had and all of the rest. When I called the doctor and mentioned scallops, they said “Oh my god, you’re the fourth food poisoning case this week from scallops.”

I love sea food but for clams, mussels, etc i stay away from those unless i know its fresh.

I followed that credo for years (and avoided them entirely) when living in Ohio, but here in Boston, I’ve relaxed my shellfish paranoia. No longer!
