Iām not a fan of that, actually. How is poverty shaming any better when itās in a rural area vs. in an urban one. Both are pretty classist if you ask me. I get why they did it, but not a fan of that, TBH.
I think when the Republican line is āwe would never be allowed to get away with having poverty in our districts like those Democrats doā, itās important to push back against that completely bullshit narrative. (Especially when the districts and Democrats in question are overwhelmingly people of color)
And just having images of poverty stricken homes does that how? How does that shame the republicans? It doesnāt, because they have no shame. It shames the people who have no other choices but to live there.
Feel however you like about it, but it just feels like yet more class warfare to me.
