Scaramucci said the president is not a ā€œracistā€ because he’s too much of a ā€œnarcissistā€ to see people as anything but ā€œan object in the room.ā€

you dont say, tony?!?

(even so, hes still a racist, but the statement is still nailing the core character of the orange menace)

This has to be…something impeachable.

ETA: Following the link leads to a thread on the Guardian about this, including Israeli diplomats saying how stupid it is, and a response from Warren…

That phrasing definitely shows they have their priorities straight

Fuck, I mean the explanation of not permitting ā€œanyone who supports the boycottā€ is cowardly and gross, but seems at least internally consistent (even if the boycott is %1000 the right attitude in my book). But that would have been a much better explanation had they made this decision before Trump weighed in, now it’s so fucking gross I want to take like 3 showers. And that inset headline, tho…

It’s bad enough having to drive by Donald Trump State Park every time I go upstate…

Seems like the park is a good metaphor for his presidency though. From the linked wikipedia entry:

In 2017, website The A.V. Club published a report that the park was an ā€œabandoned wasteland,ā€ with ā€œmuddy fields, overgrown tennis courts, and dilapidated buildingsā€ and a swimming pool in disrepair.

I think it’s entirely possible that they did make the decision before the Trump tweet, thought they had better gives the US government a heads-up before they denied members of it’s congress entry to their country, and Trump decided to preempt their announcement to boast about being a big shot. On the other hand it’s possible that in order to appease Trump, who they feel they need, the minister and prime minister decided to block entry after reading the tweet. That would indeed be a little horrifying.

I’ve heard similarly silly things at odds with reality from conservatives I know.

Like how, ā€œObama lost the popular vote, but we were OK with it then!ā€.

  1. It’s too late.
  2. THIS IS WHY YOU DO NOT VOTE FOR KNOWN CONMEN THAT EVEN THE SCUMMIEST OF THE SCUMMY REAL ESTATE FOLKS WON’T DO DEALS WITH!!!

Beyond the obvious fascistic garbage he believes in, his need to Dunning-Kruger the god damn universe was and is always a liability. Like I’ve had this discussion with my mom and she just doesn’t seem to grasp how bad Trump is at business and life in general.
