Unironic use of the term āDem elitesā is just playing into the other side. Republicans have used racism and classism as a bludgeon for the past several decades.
Substitute āDem establishmentā if you like. Or āthe billionaires and their corrupt minions who functionally control the Democratic partyā.
Just because the GOP make cynical and hypocritical use of it doesnāt make it false.
Yup. As have the Dems.
GOP politics are two parts racism to one part classism. Modern Dem politics are two parts classism to one part racism.
Using the foulness of the GOP to deflect from any mention of the vileness of the Dems is whataboutism in its purist form.
Points are taken and duly noted, but I find them largely unhelpful in the greater context much like the facetious āvote blue no matter whoā postscripts.
Most of us here wish the D party was more progressive than it is. Itās my hope that some 10 years down the line, the burgeoning progressive bloc of the party will represent the majority but itās not where we are now and it will take time to get there. We have to deal with the shit sandwich we have at the moment. Right now the most important thing is to get Trump out of the White House and take back the Senate.
bet you whoās not paying for the cleanupā¦
āI donāt care!ā said the pious fraud, loudly caring.
Good. Heās doing something useful.
Whatās troubling is that in the various abysses of right-wing social media I stare into, people have been circulating this for some time. Why? I am sure so he can be harassed enough to go away. Not that anyone circulating it will cop to that.
And perhaps laterā¦? With Rand Paul shitting his pants to get the whistleblowerās name out in the trial, Roberts may have to stay active in shepherding the proceedings to have the Senate follow his instructions.
Three sentences, all of them improperly written. Definitely screams āauthority figure to respect and emulateā, huh?
I wonder if Hitler ever paid his bills.
Even some of the evangelicals think thatās heās a fringe heretic. Which is kind of ā¦ er, um, ok.

Variety: Everyone knows President Trump watches the show. Does it add any pressure to your job knowing that heās watching and might comment or cheer or call you out?
Earhardt: It doesnāt for me. Whenever I have to speak in front of an audience, I look out and see the crowd and it can be daunting. It can be overwhelming, a little nerve wracking. But when Iām in front of those cameras, all I see are those cameras and Iām having a conversation with my close friendsā¦. We have done stories where Brian will say, āI disagree.ā I might say I see both sides. Steve might say I agree or vice-versa. We try to cover all sides. We just try to be ourselves. We are honest with our feelings.
Kilmeade : It really doesnāt. I feel zero pressureā¦.It doesnāt shape how we feel or what I say. If youāve noticed or youāve Googled me, there are a couple of things Iāve said that kind of tick him off, but I have to be honestā¦If I feel positively about every policy of his, what credibility do I have? If I feel positively about every policy he has, that means none of it mattersā¦I think I am doing my job.
Looks like Kilmeade is standing by his word from that Variety interview
Who wants to bet how long itāll take from him to become a pariah in conservative circles for defending Bolton? 2 days? Half a day?
