Bernie comes across as a plainspoken truth teller, and more and more people are coming to appreciate that about him.
So, in an effort to further control the now quarantined r/The_Donald, Reddit has removed several of the “moderators” of the controversial subreddit, claiming that they “have harassed Reddit employees, stickied rule-breaking content, and generally undermined progress.” Reddit has also said that they will vet any replacement mods.
Edited to add: In response, the people who run and ran the subreddit have declared Reddit “dead,” and they are inviting their followers to follow them to a new website that they’ve set up. I won’t link to it here, but the new site looks and feels just like a subreddit normally looks. And based on the upvotes the posts are getting, they’ve pulled about 2000 users over (assuming they’re legitimate users upvoting).
I’ve never really understood what the_Donald ever was supposed to be. I mean, I have to think that it’s just an elaborate practical joke that took on a life of it’s own. I just refuse to believe anyone takes any of it seriously.
Good. Hopefully they all go to Voat or whatever garbage site they are setting up and they can stop stinking up Reddit.

If there’s one thing the Gab fiasco has shown*, it’s that fascists really fall apart when they don’t have access to the same “front page of the internet” platforms as everybody else because someone finally decided to do even the smallest amount of rules enforcement.
* To elaborate: Gab started as a Freeze Peach Twitter clone running on shitty home-rolled code that started to collapse under the weight of its own tech debt and lack of donations, so they forked Mastodon and started charging for basic features that are free on literally any non-Nazi-run instance of the platform and basically the entire sane contingent of the Fediverse has actively de-federated from them so they’re all just trapped in their own stupid little actual echo chamber, like it’s a 1990s Stormfront forum.
Either way, I wouldn’t mind him losing the anti-vaxxer vote. Every little thing helps.
