Broken clocks; something, something…
People are funny that way.
Sometimes people in cults, who have experienced many years of seeing the bad things happen to other people without blinking, only wake up and leave when the bad things happen to them. Some people criticize them for that, but I think that frequently that’s what it takes: a close personal experience that can’t be diverted by subverted value judgements, excuses, thought-stopping or bubble-world defenses.
Let’s see if this is a snapping moment for Geraldo, where he reevaluates everything. Of course, he knows which side of his pay check is buttered, so maybe he’ll pull the wool back over his own eyes.
Only in Trump’s world is someone who “hates our country” going to go into public service for “our country”.
That was so fucking infuriating to watch. He was completely disinterested in what she had to say and seemingly couldn’t wait for her to leave.
Just look at this - this is not engaged conversation:
Here’s someone literally saying to him, “I need your help, please do something” and all he can say is, “ISIS is gone aren’t they?” and “how did you get a Nobel prize?”
You know things are bad for Donnie when even Justin Bieber is calling him out for acting like a douchebag
I wonder how Germany is reacting to big mouth’s open bigotry…
oof
This kind of thing is apt to happen if you don’t rake the forest on a regular basis.
Also if you ignore the consensus of thousands of climate scientists, do nothing to curb fossil fuel use, and renege on promises to aid multilateral efforts aimed at pulling us back from the brink.
It would be very Trumpian to insist, then say it was a joke, then insist again, that one of the powers given to him in Article 2 of the Constitution, is primae noctis (spoilered for ew factor).
Oh dear, do they have their own Ann Coulter over there
Welcome to Klub Kapo.
More brain bleach, please.
It makes me think of how people argue against rape culture by saying things like, “I could be your daughter, your sister, your mother…” It’s absurd to me that somehow this could make something click for some people, but I think it really does. For some people they have to imagine something bad happening to someone they know to figure out why it’s bad when something bad happens to someone.
I am enjoying the damage control on display. “Lost my title for not trying on a hijab” is about as accurate descriptor as saying, “I got arrested for suffocating a man with a plastic garbage bag because I didn’t use a biodegradable bag. Liberal snowflakes!”
Also her tweets are now deleted…
orange bizarro-potus strikes again
what surprises me is that some shit from him still baffles me in its absurdity.
