I think the best mashup/re-interpretation of two things is that Star wars + Beatles album. But there’s many clever really well made mashups out there

When done well I get a pleasurable brain rush that I don’t get from other music. Part of my brain is enjoying the music same as any other music. But the more logical brain is firing off the references and interplay between originally unrelated works. Full brain-gasm.
