What makes this wholesome for me is that Ryan Reynolds + Aviation did a real solid for Monica Ruiz, the actress.
This ad allows Ruiz to have another role immediately after what would otherwise be a disastrous and potentially career killing role. The Peloton ad could potentially mark Ruiz as a risk to future work. This Aviation ad, even though viral, helps to add a counter narrative and puts Ruiz in a much better position to move forward.
Reynolds and the staff of Aviation didn’t just make a one-note joke, they potentially saved Ruiz career.

For those who like gin (juniper being a polarizing taste) it’s also pretty good value gin compared to other mid-shelf gins, great for mixing negronis or martinis like in the ad.

imdb shows that he’s working on a film, but his output has really tapered off.
