This brings to mind Countee Cullen’s poem Incident, although this little girl had a much better response than the speaker of the poem. I love that she refused to back down.
A 4 year old. In 4th grade. Precocious. Of course her reply was awesome.

"I didn’t come to school to make a fashion statement’ - that’s a world-class smackdown, that more than a few political commentators would do well to heed.
This young lady is my new hero.
Well served, ma’am, well served indeed! (bows)
She said “K-4” which probably means the specific kindergarten class she’s in.
From what I can tell, this is not particularly remarkable – for her age. What’s remarkable is that by the time this bright, confident girl is 11 or 12 or 13, she will have lost whatever it is inside her that allows this brilliant response. REVIVING OPHELIA is not a new book, but I think its message remains important.
I think that’s actually a level of pre-K, which would be just about right for a 4-year-old.
