This is literally me. My mom had a life-threatening ectopic pregnancy and two miscarriages before I was born. If the laws from Alabama or Georgia had been active at that place and time, I would never have been born. My mom would either be dead or in prison when I was born.

A POLICE ban aimed at preventing Stop Trump protesters from marching through Whitehall when Donald Trump meets Theresa May on a state visit next week will meet furious resistance, organisers say.

although it makes me unusual for a native texan, i’m a strong advocate for unions and worker solidarity. my paternal grandfather was president of his local of the brotherhood of railroad engineers who inculcated a strong sense of union pride in his offspring. even though my uncles drifted towards fox news and republicanism in their later years they both called bullshit on the anti-union elements of the republican ideology. my dad, on the other hand, called bullshit on all of it and became more liberal as he aged. some of his friends and associates called him “communist don” at social gatherings but they respected him nonetheless.
