I heard them talking about this case this morning on NPR, and some damn TERF said that very thing. She’s wrong. It’s exactly the opposite… if basic human rights can be denied others, it can be denied to you. But if laws protect others, they will also protect you. I don’t understand why that’s such a difficult concept for some to wrap their head around.

I know. Neither am I. Roberts is the new swing vote, and he’s less reliable about siding the liberals. If he ends up voting with the conservative wing on this (and the abortion case/cases on the docket) it will be rolling back the strides made since Stonewall and Roe.

The woman they interviewed is not an activist, but a San Antonio business owner. Her claims that trans rights endanger the rights of cisgender women is ridiculous. That’s not how rights work, they don’t come at the expense of others, and if they do, then that’s just oppression. But then again, white women did this after the civil war with regards to race. They didn’t get the vote, and dug down into racism in the coming years in response.
Lisa Fullerton i that article was a witness in favor of a Texas Bill that would have limited local governements from being able to have their own nondiscrimination ordinances acording the Equality Texas:
