The Trump admin taking the safety of school students very seriously
Oh sure it does. One of the current policies of “the Federal Government” is to cover up and distract from Der Trump’s financial shenanigans.
Yup, a typical tuesday morning in the Trump admin,
First nutjobs accused them of being crisis actors and now they’re after them for acting human?
Also, James Woods is an ass,
Butbut, he’s a member of the Hollywood elite, so he CAN’T be a reactionary asshole conservative!
The thing that ran through my mind when reading these articles today was how ineffective conservative lead boycotts have been the past few years.Target, Keuring, Amazon, Starbucks, Pepsi, Mondelez International (makers of Oreo) and others came out of those boycotts the past few years ok. Yet in a single 3 day weekend, companies ran screaming away away from the NRA. Maybe the 14 to 35 year old demographic has significantly more sway when it comes to organizing and maintaining a boycott (which in itself is kinda awesome) than the general Trump supporters.
Eliminating a small discount to a very small number of customers is not creating a “separate financial system”. Companies have realized quickly this weekend that the vast majority of their customers, Democrat & Republican & green & independent & who-cares alike, prefer them not to associate with a toxic, murderous terrorist organization.
I’ve long suspected that conservative-led boycotts, while they’re louder and get much more press (because they’re generally pretty ridiculous and make for good print), truthfully have an extremely low footprint. When a few hundred people stomp their feet about Starbucks cups not being Jesus-y enough, a few hundred other people shrug and take their place in line. When several million people of all political sides say they’ll choose a different airline or car rental place, dorky little legacy discounts for the NRA get dropped quickly.
Wow, congrats to the USA Today for having the courage to run the dumbest possible take.
USA Today’s use of “witch hunt” when it’s currently in heavy use as the Right’s favorite term seems a little suspect.
Note that the article is written by Jon Gabriel, editor-in-chief of right-wing blog Ricochet, which currently has this on its front page:
Gross Negligence
The president of the NRA is now a pariah in his heavily liberal community after Parkland
“Merchant of death surprised to find neighbors not a fan.”
Where’s my nano-violin?
I didn’t know that the president of the NRA is also the head of Brownells, the world’s biggest supplier of gun parts, but it doesn’t shock me in the least.
“The NRA is an organization of gun owners, not an accessory to manufacturers!” HAHAHA oh, you silly people.
The showdown between clear, coherent facts and arguments versus angry crazy person word salad
Fun little factoid to remember about Jones’ divorce/custody cases to remember for when he calls others ‘crisis actors’
