The guy even says that 1) these “they can control the weather” stories have been around for decades and 2) they have had some theoretical testing on a small scale in a lab that could be applied in the future.Not that it’s in action today

Huh. Well, the flag is back lit and the stars look embroidered. So that’s why they aren’t white, they are too dense for the light to shine through. And it looks like the embroidery puckered the fabric in to a pattern.
I don’t know if large flags like that are prone to puckering, or if someone just cheaped out on a flag. 
My money is on “cheaped out”.

there are no stars visible because its not just backlit, but also its the flags back; so is marge, getting on stage through the flag from behind. just sayin.

Well, she is partially correct. Our insane effort to return all the previously buried carbon to the atmosphere has most certainly changed our weather, and our climate, and made things like Milton possible, even expected. But, of course, she would reject that logic as well.
