So they’ve shifted from “it’s not real!” Through a brief “we didn’t cause it!” phase and now we’re in “it’s actually a good thing!” At this rate, we’ll all be extinct a century or so when they get around to “liberals are killing our freedoms and disrespecting the flag by forcing the globe to warm!” and actually starting to do something.

They’re not even phases. I have seen all three for at least a decade, sometimes even from the same writer. Because the underlying point is “fossil fuel CEOs should make as much money as possible” and anything that argues for that is true, even if they’re mutually inconsistent.

The message will probably be, “Liberals knew all about global warming for decades, literally decades! And they hid the truth from the rest of the world. They could have acted on it, but they selfishly refused to move forward a single piece of legislation to do anything about it.”
