You can’t really blame him for having a strong reaction to a snout full of uncut Nordic nose candy. Stuff’s intense.
Edit: all jokes aside, my dog used to do something very similar. If the snow was deep enough she’d insert her head and snuffle deeply; then roll over and wave her legs around, either sinking into the powder or skittering across the ice crust as conditions dictated.
Wasn’t a huge fan of rain; but was quite enthusiastic about getting caked in snow.

When I was a kid we had a husky-spitz mix and she would do similar things. She would dive head first into a snow bank.
