This is very amusing but I don’t think it necessarily means that the US bankruptcy trustee will sue Trump any more than it means the trustee will sue Biden. The idea that Rudy was ever going to get money out of either man was always a fantasy.
Alas those prayers for a Trump heart attack are about as likely to come true as the prayers said after mass shootings. I’d love to be wrong.
Also, the GOP are the people who could DO something about Trump, and they fucking refuse, because I guess they fear the inconvenience of having to hire some extra security or being swatted… But hey, they’re a-okay with people drowning in the Rio grande… so…
A what attack now? Has he even got one?
Well, honestly, we need the last 3 people of “good faith” to step up and deal with the shitshow that their party has become… Their fascist wing is running unchecked. They need to show us that they care more about this country than their own comfort…
… “When I inquired about this loan, I was informed that there are no loan agreements that memorialize the loan, but that it was a loan that was believed to be between Donald J. Trump, individually, and Chicago Unit Acquisition for $48 million,” Jones wrote, referencing the name of Trump’s LLC that held his debt.
“However, in recent discussions with the Trump Organization, it indicated that it has determined that this loan never existed—and thus that it would be removed from any upcoming forms submitted to the Office of Government Ethics (OGE) and would also be removed from subsequent versions of [corporate financial statements],” Jones wrote.
If true, that would essentially be an admission from the Trump Organization that all the financial disclosures Trump has filed with the federal government listed an entirely fictional debt worth tens of millions of dollars, which Trump claimed he personally owed to one of his own companies. …
I’m outside the USA, and it can be hard to keep up. Which 3 are these?
Larry, Moe and Curly?
3 people is just an ironic suggestion. I mean that people who actually give a shit about the constitution should step up…
My assumption was that it’s because we keep getting told that there are “good faith republicans” out there, but clearly they’re all being drowned out by the other 99.99974% of them. But we should pay no attention to the noisy ones, and trust that the good faith ones will fix the GOP from the inside. Because the other 99.99974% of them are an aberration, and it would be positively impolite of us to make any assumptions based on their example. You don’t want to be rude, do you?
Jordan Libowitz, communications director at Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, said that, assuming the court filing is accurate, Trump would appear to have intentionally and repeatedly broken the law.
i, i, i can’t believe it.
“This explains why the Republicans have been so intent on cutting the IRS’s budget,” he said, “because they don’t want it to be able to audit transactions like this.”
indeed.
Crooked-ass criminal capitalism at its finest.
That’s not necessarily a list of good faith ones, at all. A good chunk of those are “keep the quiet part quiet you idiot”
If the court does not “honour the original meaning of the 14th amendment and disqualify Donald Trump”, Wilentz writes, “it will trash the constitutional defense of democracy designed following slavery’s abolition; it will guarantee, at a minimum, political chaos no matter what the voters decide in November; and it will quite possibly pave the way for a man who has vowed that he will, if necessary, rescind the constitution in order to impose a dictatorship of revenge.”
It’s a strongly worded letter, but it’s a good one… Let’s see if the right people will pay attention.
Trump’s candidacy on the Illinois ballot should be decided by the courts, an elections board hearing officer says
All of it?
