Angry gentleman possibly inebriated, breaks $1,350 multicopter

I thought I remembered this story saying the RC model had metal rotors, but it’s not mentioned in the link below. In any case:

The man, Roman Pirozek Jr. of Woodhaven, Queens, had been operating the large model — measuring several feet end to end — when it hit him and the top of his head was sliced off, the police said.

Not to make light of that tragedy, but…

Deathmatch! Drunk man with t-shirt versus RC model with sharpened stainless steel rotors! Exclusive live(!) stream on HULU!

It could work.

This is referring to a RC helicopter though, not a drone. Much bigger blades, higher RPM and not shielded.

I too would smack to kill a drone flying close to me, as I would any insect, bird, flying saucer or NSA spy-plane.

So these guys decide to fly their drone in the middle of a public street, near cars and pedestrians and they want sympathy when something goes wrong? Fly it in an empty lot or on a beach in the early morning, but don’t fly it around people or their stuff unless you want trouble.

Isn’t it weird how scary RC toy helicopters get once you decide to call them “drones”?

Rather, he invaded the drone’s “personal” space

Also weird how many people forget the existing RC helicopter laws once you decide to call it a “drone.”
