“Badgers” is my favorite internet…
For years my wife thought African snake was “A freakin’ snake”.

about time the mainstream started ripping off cyriak

You mean “Snake! A snake, ohhhh its a snake!”?

I first saw Cyriak’s work on b3ta years ago; he creates strangely wonderful stuff, and the world is a better place for it!

edit - oops, didn’t mean this to be a reply to anyone , sorry!

Crap, what is the lyric? There is something before the first “snake”. @SeamusAMurphy makes a good argument. I always thought it said “I think a snake!” Lyric searches seem to say it is just a sound, like “Aahhh! Snake!”

How many times do I have to loop this before I am sure?

Both being long-standing members of b3ta, pretty sure that Cyriak and Weebl know each other quite well.

Bonus! My homage to Weebl, way back when, entitled Why I Was Late To Work…

Wasn’t that the idea behind the Quiznos Spongmonkey campaign?

I LOVE Cyriak’s work!

I do not love McDonald’s’s’s work.

Guess those cows haven’t mastered the Moo-walk yet.

That’s the work of another b3ta member, Joel Veitch of rathergood fame. You might remember some of his :smiley_cat: videos

i thought the spongemonkeys were from animators from the early days of youtube and quizno’s hired them directly.

I think they did. I presume that the intent was to make people want to go to Quiznos. Not entirely clear that was that actual effect. “I want to eat now!” was not the first thing that came to mind on seeing those ads.

For the rest of your life

Yeah, but what is said before “Snake! A snake. Ohhhh it’s a snake”?
Look here, I am perfectly willing to accept that I am a dip, but there is something said before “Snake!”. What the hell is it?

And just to stabilize my homestead, it isn’t “A freakin’ snake”. Harummpph!

I originally heard “African snake”. Could be wrong, but Pythons, which that animated snake looks like, are African, but are also Asian and, I think, Aussie (all alliterative…weird). I am willing to bet a pint of Guinness that it’s “African snake”.

When my daughter was a freshmen in college, I looked up badger, mushroom, and African snake on Amazon. Found a badger plush toy, a plush mushroom pillow, and a, AH-HA(!) rubber python! Sent them to her. She opened the package. Her friends were of the “WTF?” opinion, and my daughter rolled her eyes and told them, “…I get it…”.
