Any reasonable equivalents to Tumblr for porn?
Just asking for a friend.
Great news!
If it loses another 99.7% of its value, then I could probably afford to buy Tumblr and turn the filter back off.
Well duh! The word “porn” is obviously pornographic itself.
(Sorry for NSFW comment, I guess I should blur that…)
Nothing like tumblr used to be. But twitter has been where a lot of people I used to follow moved to. Depressing with the 4 image per post limit.
Trying to post a link to this BB entry to Tumblr – partly to share the content, and I confess, partly to see just how dogged the naughty filter is.
Automatically, and irrevocably, filtering out “adult” content says something about what they think of their customers.
Perhaps they should come out with a companion app called “Tumblr: After Dark”? Add a whip to the logo. Have no filters, unless the customer establishes a safe word.
(boobs, boobs, boobs, dick) "AAAAH! TANGERINE! TANGERINE!"
Ceci n’est pas tailler une pipe.
(Yes, I’m going to heck for that one.)
If people knew that it could have been bought for that little, I know a stack of tumblr users that would have run a GoFundMe campaign to buy it…
Part of why people were so miffed that Tumblr banned adult content was that it was one of the few major safe spaces for sexual expression that isn’t hetero, cisgendered and “mainstream”, but you can bet your bottom dollar that the yahoos who orchestrated the bungled purge were overwhelmingly het and cis.
Yeah, but the tough part are the continuing costs, not the one time purchase price.
Ugh. I’ve never seen that “cannot be appealed” screen before. I guess all that’s left now is to hope they change their minds and at least attempt to improve the filter. They won’t succeed, but maybe if they try they’ll eventually realize it’s a dumpster fire.
The biggest problem isn’t the pr0n filter on adult content, but are the false positives on not sexually explicit content. I’ve had a tumblr accout to post amateur radio and having posts randomly rejected made me to stop using it. What is the adult conent on this photo?
Google translate:
This is not a blowjob.
It’s a bawdy pun on the famous caption of René Magritte’s The Treachery of Images and French slang for fellatio which is tailler une pipe (which translates more literally to the action of sucking a pipe).
The CEO did put out a message before they implemented this.
Pwhoor! Look at the knobs on that!
Also, somewhere there is a Rule 34 version of that picture, but I refuse to look for it.
I haven’t seen a knob that big since the one that bought Tumblr.
how dare you post that filth. i need eyebleach now.
